The Smart Good Food Shop is a great delicatessen and outside catering business located in the heart of Perth, Perthsire. We specialise in our own made products, both in the shop as well as in our outside catering. We have our kitchen on the premises where we make our daily soups, quiches, houmous and cream cheese as well as roasting of our meats and making of our now famous pork pies. For the sweeter tooth we make our own traybakes, anything from plain or milk chocolate caramel shortbread, malteser bakes, mars bar and white chocolate crispy cakes and road to heaven with marsh mallows and white chocolate. We make our own handmade chocolates and now also make the most delicious chocolates with Aberfeldy 12 year old whisky, in a Gaelic Coffee, Cranachan and dark whisky truffle filling. Once tasted you will be smitten forever...... We also have a range of chutneys and relishes which we make on the premises and they are marketing under the SGF (Smart Good Food) label. We are delighted to announce that they are now also available at the Country Larder at Scone airport, the Blairgowrie Farm Shop, Ruryk Fare at the Abernyte Antique centre and at the farm shop of St Andrew's farmhouse cheese company. We are open 6 days a week and cover outside catering every day of the week, including Sundays. We have a range of menus and menu items available for you to choose from, as well as various party platters. Please have a look at our outside catering page for more details. We would be delighted to design your menu for you. So whether you are organising a party for two or a party for fifty , you will find the answer in The Smart Good Food Shop, either by buying some of our cheeses , cured and roasted meats , antipasti or ready meals or let us take charge and organise the food and wines for your party.
We keep you updated of our new developments. We have a quarterly news letter with the latest news items in them, if you are interested in receiving a copy, please fill in the comment box. So many new products have come aboard, many of them organic and fair trade. We now have an organic wine selection with some very very nice wines (believe me , we tasted them!) (and you can taste them too at one of our quaterly wine and foodtasting evenings!) and we have a organic selection in our vegetable offering, sourced locally.
When looking for unusual gifts or hampers, you have come to the right address. Hampers can be personalised or themed. We have a range of different baskets for gourmet gift baskets , wine gift baskets or corporate gift basket , all made to your specific wish. Remember too that we are your local shop for Dutch and Indonesian products and if we do not stock what you are looking for at the moment we will endeavour to get it for you To make life easy for you, you can place your order for your normal shopping with us a day before collection, for party orders we need between 2 to 10 days, depending on the size of the party . The Smart Club is for those customers who would like to receive our quarterly newsletter with free recipes , product information , new developments, special offers and you will also be invited to special promotional events.
