Quality Momeni & Niksiiar operate a policy of only using the best available ingredients, grown and processed by environmentally sensitive methods. The company believe in this system to promote both the health of their consumers and the well being of the planet. Momeni & Niksiiar have IFS (International Food Standard) certification and comply fully with the strict food hygiene regulations in place in Germany (LMHV - Lebensmittelhygienevorschriften). They operate a Food Safety Management System structured to the HACCP concept. Company History Alireza Momeni came to Nuertingen , Germany , from Iran , in 1980 to complete an agricultural study. The subject matter of the study was inspired by a short vacation in Greece where fresh anti-pasti products were common. He had also noted the popularity of this food among the European holiday-makers, as well as the huge variety of products available. After Alireza had completed his studies, and with the help of a small business loan, he started to sell anti-pasti at weekly markets around Stuttgard. In the beginning, recipes had to be adapted constantly to suit the taste of the new consumers, but, eventually the feedback was very positive, usually to the effect that it all "tasted wonderful". After one year, Alireza's school friend Majid Niksiiar, who was also studying agriculture in Germany , was persuaded to join forces and Momeni & Niksiiar GbR was created. Due to the large demand, the product range was expanded considerably and the company started to rent sales areas in supermarkets. Today, Momeni & Niksiiar GbR are a European-wide enterprise focused exclusively on the core principals: to search and import the best raw products, to develop exciting new recipes for anti-pasti and to process them under the highest hygiene and quality standards in Europe .
